Something to Consider

The following is the first piece from our newest member, Vorylin

Something to Consider

Consider the Snowflake - so intricate and so precious.
Behold its profoundly detailed crystalline structure-
It's innermost weavings taking on the image of a diamond or the like.
Aside from its beautiful innards, ponder the snowflake's numbers.
Millions of them flock and float ever so softly and nonchalantly to the earth
And land ever so gently, spreading cheer and pure whiteness everywhere they rest.
Consider the Cloud; it could either be thin, fine, and meek or
Large, prominent, and silently boisterous with their prominence.
Marvel at their consistency or lack thereof in type and size and number;
But never forget it's power. There can be towering, charming white clouds
Commandeering the sky or there can be the looming, mighty clouds of heavy
Darkness dominating the skyscape threatening to litter us with water of any form.
Consider the Winter's Sun. It is the same Sun that we enjoy
Year-round, but it affects us less.... or so it seems. It still contains
The same tenacity in its rays as it sustains the sleeping shrubbery and
Foliage. It still gives small white clouds a bright fill and outline, and
It still illuminates the darkened sky in days of mighty precipitation.
It's bright yellow disposition compliments the white cheeriness of the spirit well.

Consider the mighty tree. This mighty “arborious”, laborious creature
Slumbers deeply as snow, rain, and cold assault it's sleeping hulk.
How can something so strong yet so silent be so hearty and resilient in
The face of such vicious adversity? Regardless, its staggering potential
Lies dormant within this faceless column of foliage.
Never underestimate what lies beneath.
Consider the blade of grass. These are in great abundance as anyone can
Attest. Billions of them stretch across the landscapes, meadows, plains,
And valleys of the world. Many are triumphant over their peers; they still
Retain their green vigor. Others are defeated and are dead as such. Their
Pale-brown disposition is the sign of their slumber. However, despite all that
Was lost. Millions and millions will rise again to replace the ones who've been lost.
Consider the world we habitate and meditate the wonders that inhabit it.
We can speculate about the mighty arms of the jet streams that span the
Earth over; we can ride the train of thought involving the Poles; we
Saturate ourselves in the fount of knowledge regarding the ever strong
Currents of the world. No matter what we ever so choose as to set our
Mental eye on, friends, there is always something to consider.
